Today’s DFW Forecast

A quiet and warmer Saturday is on tap across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. After a few clouds early, skies will turn sunnier through the day with afternoon highs landing in the mid 80s. Winds stay light, starting from the north or northeast before shifting easterly later today.

Tonight looks calm and mild with mainly clear skies and lows in the upper 60s. A light southeast breeze will return overnight, helping set the stage for a more active end to the weekend.

Sunday brings the next better chance for rain and thunderstorms. A few showers could pop up in the morning, but the more widespread activity is expected to build during the afternoon and continue into Sunday night. Highs will start in the low to mid 80s, then temperatures will slip into the upper 70s later in the day as rain moves in. A few storms may produce heavy downpours, especially east of Dallas, before cooler and drier air arrives Monday.

Plan for wet roads and reduced visibility at times Sunday afternoon and Sunday night, with locally heavy rain possible in spots.
