A quiet and comfortable day is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with afternoon highs in the mid 70s and a light northeast breeze. It’ll be a pretty pleasant setup overall, with no major weather issues through the daylight hours.
Tonight stays mostly cloudy with lows slipping into the upper 50s. Winds will stay light as the pattern begins to shift, setting the stage for a warmer and slightly more unsettled end to the week.
By Friday, temperatures climb back to around 80 with a mix of sun and clouds. A few spotty showers or thunderstorms could pop up by late morning, but the better chance for rain looks to come during the afternoon and then linger into Friday night. Not everyone will see rain, but a few neighborhoods could catch a brief downpour and some lightning.
The weekend turns warmer, with highs reaching the 80s and off-and-on storm chances continuing, especially Sunday afternoon.
If you have outdoor plans Friday afternoon or Sunday, keep an eye on the radar for passing storms.
