North Texas stays warm into this evening, but the pattern is changing for the Metroplex tonight. Expect mostly cloudy skies with a few showers and thunderstorms developing, mainly this evening into the overnight hours. Not everyone will see rain, but a few spots could pick up brief downpours before activity tapers off late tonight. Overnight lows will fall back into the upper 50s to lower 60s as winds turn northerly.
Tomorrow brings a much cooler feel. Morning cloud cover will linger, and there could still be a few leftover showers or storms early in the day before rain chances gradually ease through the afternoon. Highs will only reach the mid to upper 70s across Dallas-Fort Worth, a big drop from today’s lower 90s.
The extended outlook stays quiet and comfortable Thursday with highs near the lower 70s and only a small chance for a stray shower. Temperatures warm back into the 80s Friday and through the weekend, with isolated storm chances returning Saturday and a slightly better chance by Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.
