Rain chances will increase again across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex tonight. A few spotty showers are possible early this evening, but steadier rain is more likely after midnight as temperatures settle into the mid 50s.
Friday looks like a chilly, wet day by early May standards. Periods of rain are expected for both Dallas and Fort Worth, with highs struggling to reach the upper 50s before temperatures slip through the afternoon. This will be more of an all-day soaking rain than a severe weather setup for the Metroplex, though roads could turn slick and there may be a few heavier pockets of rain at times.
Showers begin to taper Friday night, and we’ll turn drier late with lows near 50. The weekend brings a big improvement with sunshine returning Saturday, highs back in the low 70s, then upper 70s Sunday. Early next week warms quickly, with highs near 80 Monday and pushing the upper 80s by Tuesday. A small storm chance may return around Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Plan for a raw, rainy Friday and slower travel at times.
