A much cooler, gray day is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with highs only reaching the upper 60s this afternoon. Expect plenty of clouds and scattered showers and a few thunderstorms developing through the day, with the better chance for rain coming later today. This does not look like a widespread severe weather setup for DFW, but a few heavier downpours will be possible.
Tonight stays mostly cloudy and damp, with a few evening showers or storms still around before rain coverage fades overnight. Temperatures will settle into the upper 50s to around 60 with a light northeast breeze.
Tomorrow will be even cooler, with highs stuck in the mid 60s. Showers become more numerous again, and a few thunderstorms may mix in, especially during the afternoon. Rain chances continue to increase heading into Thursday night and Friday, when a soaking rain looks more likely and some heavier pockets could develop.
Plan for slow travel at times in wet weather, especially late Thursday into Friday as rain becomes more widespread.
