A pretty quiet start for the Metroplex today. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds with afternoon highs generally in the lower 70s, and winds staying light out of the southeast.
Tonight, clouds thicken up and rain chances begin to increase after midnight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms could develop late, with overnight lows settling into the mid 50s. Most of the evening looks dry, so the better opportunity for wet roads holds off until the overnight hours.
Tomorrow will be much cooler and noticeably more unsettled. Expect scattered to numerous showers, especially during the morning, along with a few thunderstorms. Highs will struggle in the mid 60s across Dallas and Fort Worth. Rain may taper some during the afternoon, but a few lingering showers or storms will still be possible.
The main impact will be periods of rain for the Tuesday morning commute, along with a few pockets of heavier downpours. Widespread severe weather is not expected, but don’t be surprised by a rumble of thunder.
