Tonight’s DFW Forecast

A wet and much cooler change is on the way for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex tonight. Clouds stay in place this evening, with showers and a few thunderstorms becoming more common after midnight. Rain chances are high overnight, and a few spots could pick up some brief heavier downpours before daybreak. Temperatures will fall into the mid 50s by early Saturday.

Saturday stays unsettled with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms lingering through at least part of the day. It will feel dramatically different, with highs only in the mid 60s and a north wind making it even cooler. The rain should gradually taper Saturday night, followed by clearing skies and chilly lows in the 40s.

Sunday looks much quieter with sunshine and highs back in the low 70s. Early next week brings a small chance for a few more showers or storms late Monday into Tuesday, but coverage looks limited. By Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures climb back into the upper 70s and lower 80s with only isolated rain chances.

Plan for wet roads late tonight into Saturday, along with a sharp temperature drop of nearly 20 degrees.
