North Texas is set for another warm, quiet October day across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Mostly sunny skies will push afternoon temperatures into the lower 90s, while south winds increase to 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight stays clear and mild, with lows slipping into the upper 60s. Winds will remain light from the south.
Columbus Day looks very similar, with plenty of sunshine, south winds, and highs near 90 degrees. Humidity will gradually increase through Tuesday, with afternoon temperatures back in the lower 90s.
A better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms arrives Wednesday afternoon and continues at times into Thursday. Rain chances appear highest north and west of DFW, but forecast details may still change. A cold front should bring noticeably cooler weather by Friday, followed by sunny skies and highs near 70 next weekend.
Impact: Keep an eye on the midweek forecast if you have outdoor plans, especially Wednesday night through Thursday.
