Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas is set for another warm, quiet October day across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Sunshine will dominate from Dallas and Fort Worth to Denton, Plano, Arlington, and surrounding communities, with afternoon temperatures reaching the upper 80s. Winds stay light from the northeast before turning easterly, so it may feel quite warm during the peak of the afternoon.

Skies remain mostly clear tonight, allowing temperatures to ease into the mid to upper 60s by Friday morning. Friday brings more sunshine and another round of upper-80s highs, with a light east breeze. No rain or thunder is expected through Friday, and the dry pattern continues into the weekend. Saturday slips back slightly into the mid-80s, followed by a return to upper 80s Sunday and early next week.

An Ozone Action Day is in effect today for the Metroplex. Consider limiting vehicle trips and extended strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, especially if sensitive to air quality.
