Clouds will hold across Dallas-Fort Worth today, with warm and humid conditions building ahead of an unsettled stretch. Highs reach the lower to middle 90s, with south winds gusting near 30 mph at times. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are most likely this afternoon, especially west and north of the Metroplex, and any storm could produce a quick burst of heavy rain.
Rain coverage increases considerably tonight. Showers and thunderstorms become more widespread after midnight, with lows in the lower 70s. Locally heavy rainfall will remain possible through the overnight hours.
Thursday looks wet across North Texas, with widespread showers and embedded thunderstorms likely through much of the day. Highs will be held to the lower and middle 80s. Rain chances stay elevated into Friday before temperatures trend cooler heading into the weekend.
A Flood Watch begins at 4 PM today and continues through Friday morning. Avoid flooded roads and be ready for changing travel conditions.
