A quiet and warm night is ahead across Dallas-Fort Worth, with partly cloudy skies and lows near 70. Light east winds will continue, and no rain is expected for most of the Metroplex.
Friday brings another sunny, hot afternoon with highs in the mid 90s. An Ozone Action Day remains in effect, so sensitive groups may want to limit prolonged outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day. Saturday stays dry and hot, again reaching the mid 90s.
The heat peaks Sunday, with highs pushing the upper 90s. A few isolated showers or thunderstorms may develop Sunday and Monday, but most locations will stay dry. Rain chances become more meaningful Tuesday into Wednesday, when scattered showers and storms could bring locally heavy rain in spots. Temperatures will finally ease, with highs dropping into the 80s by Wednesday and Thursday.
Plan for heat safety through Monday, then keep an eye on the Tuesday-Wednesday rain potential.
