North Texas stays firmly in summer mode today, with mostly sunny skies across Dallas-Fort Worth and afternoon highs climbing into the mid 90s. East winds will remain light, generally 5 to 10 mph. An Ozone Action Day is in effect, so limiting prolonged outdoor activity during the hottest part of the afternoon is a good idea for sensitive groups.
Tonight will be quiet and partly cloudy, with lows settling into the upper 60s to near 70.
Friday looks much the same: mostly sunny, hot, and dry with highs again in the mid 90s. Clouds will increase some Friday night, followed by even hotter weather Saturday as temperatures push into the upper 90s.
A small chance for showers or thunderstorms returns Sunday, but most of the Metroplex will stay hot and dry. Rain chances become more meaningful Tuesday into Tuesday night, with scattered storms and a possible cooler trend by Wednesday.
