North Texas is heading into another bright, hot September day. Expect plenty of sunshine across Dallas–Fort Worth, with afternoon highs generally in the mid to upper 90s. A light northeast breeze around 5 to 10 mph will offer little relief, so outdoor plans will be most comfortable early or late in the day.
Skies stay mostly clear tonight with a warm, dry evening ahead. Temperatures will fall into the lower to middle 70s by morning.
Wednesday looks very similar: mostly sunny skies, east winds, and highs back in the mid to upper 90s. A few more clouds may develop Wednesday night, but rain is not expected around the Metroplex. The heat eases only slightly later this week, with highs still mainly in the mid 90s through Saturday. Small rain chances return late in the weekend and early next week.
Heat will be the main impact through midweek. Drink plenty of water, take breaks outside, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
