Tonight will be mostly clear across Dallas-Fort Worth, with warm and muggy lows settling into the upper 70s. Light south winds will offer little relief overnight.
Friday brings another sunny and hot day, with afternoon highs reaching the upper 90s across the Metroplex. An Ozone Action Day remains in effect, so limiting unnecessary vehicle trips and outdoor emissions is encouraged. Clear skies return Friday night with lows in the mid-70s.
The weekend stays dry, bright, and downright hot. Highs will push close to 100 degrees Saturday and Sunday, with warm overnight temperatures continuing. Rain chances begin to return late Sunday night, especially north and west of DFW, then scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Monday. Coverage looks limited for now, but any storm could bring brief heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds. Temperatures ease slightly into the mid-90s next week, though it will remain summerlike.
Heat remains the main concern through the weekend. Take frequent breaks, drink plenty of water, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
