Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas is heading into another hot, mainly dry day across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect mostly sunny skies with light southeast winds and afternoon highs climbing into the upper 90s to near 100 degrees. A stray shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out this afternoon, but coverage will be very limited and most neighborhoods stay rain-free. An Ozone Action Day is in effect, so consider limiting activities that add to air pollution during the heat of the day.

Tonight stays mostly clear and warm, with south winds and lows only falling into the upper 70s in Dallas and Fort Worth.

Friday brings more sunshine and continued late-summer heat, with highs near 100 degrees. The weekend remains hot, while small rain chances begin to return late Sunday night and more noticeably Monday, alongside a modest cooldown into the mid-90s.

Heat and poor air quality are the main concerns today. Take frequent breaks outdoors, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors.
