Today’s DFW Forecast

The Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex is in for another sunny, dangerously hot afternoon. High temperatures will reach near 100 degrees, while humidity pushes the heat index as high as 105. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 PM, with light south winds offering little relief.

Tonight stays clear and warm, with lows only falling into the upper 70s. Wednesday brings more sunshine and another hot afternoon, with highs in the upper 90s to near 100 and heat index values again near 105.

The extended forecast remains very summerlike through Saturday, with mostly sunny skies and highs holding in the upper 90s. Rain chances begin to return Sunday, with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms possible, followed by somewhat cooler temperatures early next week.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the afternoon heat, drink plenty of water, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
