Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas is set for another full day of sunshine and intense late-summer heat across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Highs this afternoon will reach the upper 90s to near 100 degrees, with light south to southeast winds offering little relief. Humidity will push heat index values into the 105 to 108 degree range, especially east of Dallas.

Tonight stays clear and warm, with lows only slipping into the upper 70s around Dallas, Fort Worth, and the northern suburbs. It will remain muggy through the overnight hours.

Sunday brings more of the same: bright sunshine, highs near 100, and afternoon heat index values near 105 to 107. Rain and storm chances remain very low for the Metroplex, so outdoor plans can proceed, but plan around the heat. Labor Day looks similarly hot, with even higher heat index values possible next week.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the afternoon, drink plenty of water, and never leave children or pets in vehicles.
