Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas will stay locked in a dry, late-summer heat pattern today. Expect plenty of sunshine across Dallas-Fort Worth, with light east winds and afternoon temperatures climbing to around 100 to 101 degrees. There is no rain or storm chance, but an Ozone Action Day is in effect for the Metroplex, so sensitive groups may want to limit prolonged outdoor activity during the afternoon.

Tonight will be mostly clear and warm, with lows settling into the mid to upper 70s. Winds remain light as they gradually turn from the east to southeast.

Saturday looks nearly identical: sunny skies, light southeast winds, and another high near 101. The heat will continue through the weekend and into next week, with afternoon heat index values reaching 105 to 110 degrees at times, especially Sunday through midweek.

Limit strenuous outdoor plans during the hottest part of the day, drink plenty of water, and check on those most vulnerable to the heat.
