Today’s DFW Forecast

The Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex is facing another dangerously hot day. Any early clouds will give way to plenty of sunshine, pushing afternoon highs to 104 to 105 degrees. The Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through 9 PM, with heat stress building quickly during the afternoon. South winds will stay light, offering little relief.

Tonight will be mostly clear to partly cloudy and still very warm, with lows near 80 to the lower 80s.

Wednesday remains hot, but temperatures ease slightly into the 102 to 103 degree range. A few scattered showers and thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon and early evening, but rain coverage will be limited. Any storm that forms could briefly produce gusty winds and lightning. Heat index values could still approach 110 degrees before a weak north wind arrives Wednesday night.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the peak afternoon heat, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.
