Today’s DFW Forecast

The Metroplex is under an Extreme Heat Warning through 9 PM today as another dangerously hot afternoon takes hold. Expect mostly sunny skies, southwest winds at 10 to 15 mph, and highs between 107 and 108 degrees from Dallas to Fort Worth. Heat index readings may push close to 110 in a few spots, especially during the peak afternoon hours.

Tonight stays mostly clear, warm, and breezy, with temperatures only falling into the lower 80s. South winds will continue around 10 mph, offering little relief after sunset.

Tuesday looks nearly as hot, with abundant sunshine and highs near 106 degrees. A gradual downward trend begins Wednesday, although temperatures will still top 100. A few isolated afternoon storms may develop west and north of the Metroplex Wednesday, with small rain chances expanding Thursday.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity, drink plenty of water, and check on anyone without reliable air conditioning.
