Another day of dangerous heat is ahead across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect full sunshine with afternoon highs near 105 degrees in Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding suburbs. Light southwest winds will offer little relief, and the Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect until 8 PM. There is no rain in the forecast today.
Tonight stays mostly clear and very warm, with temperatures only slipping into the upper 70s to lower 80s. South winds will remain light, setting the stage for another hot day Thursday.
Thursday brings more sunshine and highs near 104 to 105 degrees. Humidity will push afternoon heat index values into the 109 to 111 degree range, making outdoor work, exercise, and activities especially risky. The extended outlook remains relentlessly hot through the weekend, with many afternoons near or above 105.
Limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.
