Tonight’s DFW Forecast

Tonight will stay mostly clear across the Metroplex, with a light south breeze and lows near 80 degrees. There will be very little overnight relief from the heat.

Wednesday brings another day of intense August sunshine. Highs will reach 103 to 105 degrees in Dallas-Fort Worth, with afternoon heat index values near 109. The Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through 8 PM Wednesday, so outdoor plans should be limited during the hottest part of the day.

The heat holds on Thursday, with highs again near 105. Temperatures may ease slightly Friday into the weekend, but most locations will still top 100 degrees each afternoon. Humidity will keep heat index values near 110 at times, and rain chances remain essentially absent across the Metroplex.

Heat will be the only major weather concern: drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks, and check on those without reliable air conditioning.
