A dangerous heat day is ahead across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect plenty of sunshine with afternoon temperatures reaching 105 to 106 degrees. It will feel closer to 107 or 108 at times, especially during the hottest part of the afternoon. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through noon, followed by an Extreme Heat Warning from noon until 8 PM.
Tonight stays mostly clear and very warm, with lows only falling into the lower 80s. A light south wind will offer little relief.
Wednesday brings more of the same: sunny skies, highs near 105, and heat index values approaching 108 during the afternoon. The extended outlook remains very hot, although highs may ease closer to 100 by Friday. Rain chances stay minimal for the Metroplex through the week.
Limit strenuous outdoor activity this afternoon, drink plenty of water, and check on those without reliable air conditioning. Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
