North Texas is in for another dangerous heat day across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect full sunshine, a steady south breeze, and afternoon highs near 101 in Dallas and 102 in Fort Worth, with a few nearby spots running even hotter. Humidity will push heat index values to around 105, and the Heat Advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. There is no rain or storm chance to interrupt the heat.
Tonight stays clear and warm, with lows only falling into the upper 70s. South winds will continue around 10 to 15 mph, limiting much overnight relief.
Friday brings more sun and another hot afternoon, with highs near 100 and heat index values again close to 105. The weekend remains dry and hot, with temperatures holding near 100.
Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the afternoon, take frequent cooling breaks, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.
