Another dangerous day of heat is ahead across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Mostly sunny skies and a light south breeze will push afternoon temperatures to around 100 to 102 degrees. Humidity will make it feel closer to 108 or 109, and a Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m. No rain relief is expected today.
Tonight turns mostly clear, warm, and muggy, with lows only falling to around 80 to the lower 80s. Thursday brings more sunshine and nearly identical heat, with highs near 101 to 102 and afternoon heat index values near 110.
Friday looks even hotter, with highs climbing into the 103 to 104 range and feels-like temperatures potentially reaching 114 or 115. A slight chance for an isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm returns Saturday, but most locations will stay hot and dry near 100.
Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day, drink plenty of water, and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
