Another dangerously hot afternoon is ahead for the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect plenty of sunshine with highs near 100 to 102 degrees, light south winds, and heat index values climbing to 108 or 109 this afternoon. A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon until 8 PM, so outdoor plans will require extra caution.
Tonight stays mostly clear, warm, and humid, with temperatures only falling into the upper 70s to around 80. Monday brings no real relief, with full sunshine, highs near 102, and feels-like temperatures approaching 110 during the afternoon.
The broader pattern remains locked in through the week, with daily highs at or above 100 degrees and increasingly uncomfortable humidity. Rain and storm chances remain absent for the Metroplex.
Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the afternoon, take frequent breaks in air conditioning, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.
