Tonight’s DFW Forecast

Tonight will be clear and warm across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with south winds holding temperatures in the upper 70s to around 80 by morning. There is no rain in sight, and the warm overnight temperatures will offer little relief from the heat.

Sunday brings another full day of sunshine and dangerous afternoon heat. Highs will reach 100 to 101 degrees in many neighborhoods, while heat index values climb to around 108 to 110. A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon until 8 PM Sunday for much of the Metroplex.

The heat intensifies early next week. Monday highs reach the low 100s, followed by several days of 100-to-105-degree temperatures through Friday. Afternoon heat index values near 110 will remain common, with overnight lows only falling into the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the afternoon, drink plenty of water, and never leave people or pets in vehicles.
