Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas is in for another dangerously hot day across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect abundant sunshine with afternoon highs in the upper 90s to near 100 degrees. Humidity will push heat index values as high as 105 to 110 degrees, and the Heat Advisory remains in effect through 8 PM.

Tonight stays mostly clear, warm, and humid, with temperatures only falling into the upper 70s. A light southeast breeze will offer little relief overnight.

Friday brings more sunshine and continued summer heat. Highs will reach the mid to upper 90s, while afternoon heat index values climb into the upper 100s, near 108 to 110 in some neighborhoods. South winds will increase slightly during the afternoon.

The weekend and early next week look even hotter, with widespread highs near 100 degrees and several locations climbing above that mark.

Limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the afternoon, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors and pets.
