A warm and humid Friday is ahead across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Any leftover morning clouds will give way to plenty of sunshine, with afternoon highs reaching the lower 90s. A light south breeze at 5 to 10 mph will do little to ease the humidity. Most of DFW stays dry, although a brief isolated shower cannot be ruled out well west and northwest of the Metroplex early in the day.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, warm, and muggy, with lows settling into the mid-70s. South winds remain light.
Saturday brings more sunshine and a noticeable uptick in the heat. Highs climb into the mid-90s with continued humidity, making it feel even warmer during the afternoon. The hotter pattern continues Sunday and into next week, with temperatures pushing the upper 90s to near 100 by Tuesday.
Plan outdoor activities early, drink plenty of water, and take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning as the heat builds.
