The Metroplex stays in a quiet summer pattern today with plenty of sunshine and another hot afternoon. Highs will reach around 100 in Dallas and Fort Worth, with a light southwest breeze turning southerly. It’s a dry forecast, but the heat will be the main story through the day.
Tonight looks clear and warm with lows only falling into the upper 70s. South winds will stay light, so it won’t cool off much by daybreak.
Tomorrow brings more of the same, although temperatures may ease back just a bit. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 90s and a light south wind. The hotter stretch continues into Saturday, and that’s when the heat index could climb to around 105.
Our next better rain chance arrives late Saturday night into Sunday as scattered showers and thunderstorms begin to develop. Rain chances continue into Monday, which should help knock temperatures down into the lower 90s.
Heat remains the main impact through Saturday, followed by a wetter pattern late weekend into early next week.
