Flash flooding is happening or could begin soon in parts of North Texas as thunderstorms bring very heavy rain. A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Delta County and southwestern Lamar County until 4:15 AM.

– At 2:13 AM, radar showed thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area
**What to Expect:**
– Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen
– Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly
– Affected locations include Cooper, Roxton, Big Creek Lake, Cooper Lake, Cooper Lake State Park, Pecan Gap, Enloe, Ben Franklin, Howland, Lake Creek, Gadston, Noble, Pacio, Charleston, and Petty
**Potential Impacts:**
– Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms
– Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses
– Other poor-drainage and low-lying areas may also flood

– Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize flooding dangers
