Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas stays quiet for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex today with plenty of sunshine and afternoon highs mainly in the mid 90s. A few spots north and northeast of the Metroplex could see an early isolated shower or storm, but for Dallas and Fort Worth the forecast stays dry and hot with a light south to southwest breeze.

Tonight looks warm and mostly clear, with lows only falling into the mid to upper 70s. It’ll be one of those summer nights where the air doesn’t cool off much.

Tomorrow brings more sunshine and another hot afternoon, with highs again in the mid 90s. South winds will pick up a bit by late day, making it feel a little breezier than today. The bigger story heading into Friday and the weekend is a steady build in heat, with upper 90s to near 100 and heat index values climbing above 105, possibly nearing 110 by Sunday and Monday.

Heat will become the main concern late week into the weekend, especially during the afternoon and early evening.
