Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas stays fairly quiet today, with the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex seeing a mostly sunny sky and afternoon highs in the lower 90s. A steady south wind will keep the air moving, but it will also add to the humidity as we head deeper into the day.

Tonight will stay warm and muggy, with lows only falling into the upper 70s. Skies start mostly clear this evening, then turn a little cloudier overnight. Most of DFW should remain dry, although a few late-night showers or storms could try to develop north and northeast of the Metroplex.

Monday brings the next small rain chance, mainly during the morning and especially across the northern side of the Metroplex. Coverage looks spotty, so many neighborhoods may stay dry, but any storm could bring a quick downpour and lightning. Otherwise, expect partial sunshine with highs climbing into the mid 90s. It will feel even hotter, with afternoon heat index values pushing close to 105 to 109.

If you’ll be outside Monday afternoon, plan for the heat and take breaks often.
