A few showers and thunderstorms will remain possible across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex tonight, with the better chance arriving after midnight. It’ll stay warm and muggy with lows in the low to mid 70s, and while not everyone gets rain, a few neighborhoods could pick up a quick downpour before daybreak.
Saturday brings a mix of sun and clouds with another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms possible, especially from late morning into the afternoon. Highs will rebound into the upper 80s to lower 90s, and it’ll feel more humid. Most storms should stay below severe limits, but any heavier cell could produce brief ponding on roads.
By Sunday, the pattern turns more summerlike with mostly sunny skies, gusty south winds, and highs climbing into the 90s. Early next week stays hot and humid, with heat index values pushing 105 to 110 at times. Rain chances return Monday night into Tuesday, with additional scattered storms possible through midweek.
If you have outdoor plans this weekend, watch for spotty storms Saturday and increasing heat by Sunday into next week.
