Tonight’s DFW Forecast

A quiet and muggy night is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Any leftover evening shower or storm should fade quickly, leaving mostly cloudy skies overnight with lows settling in the lower 70s.

Tomorrow looks warmer and mainly dry, with a mix of sun and humidity pushing afternoon highs into the upper 80s to near 90. Winds stay light out of the east, so it’ll feel a little sticky, but overall it’s a calm weather day for North Texas.

The bigger change comes later in the week as the summer heat starts building. Highs climb into the low 90s Wednesday and the mid 90s by Thursday, with heat index values approaching 105 to 110 by afternoon. Our next better storm chance returns Thursday night into Friday, including Juneteenth, when scattered showers and thunderstorms could bring pockets of heavy rain. Rain chances linger into Saturday before hotter and more typical late-June weather returns Sunday and Monday.

If you have outdoor plans late this week, keep an eye on both the heat and the chance for thunderstorms.
