A wetter and cooler pattern is settling into the Dallas-Fort Worth area today. Expect scattered showers and a few thunderstorms to become fairly widespread at times, especially from late morning into the afternoon. Highs will mostly top out in the low to mid 80s, and some spots may actually cool a bit later in the day as rain increases. Winds will shift to the east and northeast as the day goes on.
Tonight stays unsettled with more showers and a few thunderstorms likely across the Metroplex. Temperatures will slip into the upper 60s to lower 70s by daybreak.
Tomorrow will remain mostly cloudy with additional scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the morning, before rain coverage gradually backs off later in the day. Afternoon highs will stay on the cooler side for June, generally near 80 to the low 80s.
The main concern through tonight will be areas of heavy rain and ponding on roads during the heavier downpours, especially where rain repeats over the same locations.
