Flooding from heavy rain is continuing in parts of North Texas through this afternoon. A Flood Advisory remains in effect for southwestern Collin County, northwestern Dallas County, southeastern Denton County, and northeastern Tarrant County.
**Timing:**
– In effect until 2:00 PM
– As of 11:56 AM, heavy rain from thunderstorms was still being detected
**What to Expect:**
– Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues
– Minor flooding is ongoing or could begin shortly
– Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen
– Up to 1 additional inch of rain is possible
**Potential Impacts:**
– Minor flooding in low-lying areas
– Water collecting in poor drainage areas
– Overflowing drainage spots
**What to Do Now:**
– Turn around, don’t drown if you come across a flooded road
– Do not drive on flooded roads
