Today’s DFW Forecast

North Texas stays fairly quiet today, with a mix of sun and clouds across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Most neighborhoods will stay dry, but a stray afternoon shower or thunderstorm can’t be ruled out. Highs will climb into the upper 80s to near 90 with a light east wind.

Tonight looks calm and warm. Skies turn partly cloudy, and temperatures will only fall into the lower 70s as winds shift around to the southeast.

Tomorrow brings a slightly better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially from late morning into the afternoon. It won’t be a washout, but a few spots could catch brief downpours and lightning. Afternoon highs ease back a bit, settling into the mid to upper 80s.

Looking ahead, rain chances gradually increase heading into the weekend, with the wettest stretch likely arriving Saturday into Sunday as deeper moisture moves in. That may bring more widespread showers and thunderstorms, along with pockets of heavy rain.

Weekend plans may need a weather backup, especially later Saturday and Sunday when storm coverage looks higher.
