Tonight’s DFW Forecast

It’s a quiet night ahead across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with mostly clear skies and warm temperatures only slipping into the low to mid 70s by morning.

Tomorrow stays hot again with afternoon highs in the low to mid 90s, but we’ll start to see a small chance for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm late in the day. Most of the Metroplex will stay dry, though a few spots could catch brief rain before sunset or into Tuesday evening.

By midweek, temperatures ease back a bit, with highs closer to the upper 80s on Wednesday. Rain chances remain fairly low through Wednesday, then begin to ramp up Thursday and especially Friday into Saturday as a wetter pattern settles in. That stretch could bring several rounds of showers and thunderstorms, and some spots may pick up heavy rainfall by the weekend. Right now, the severe weather threat looks limited, but lightning and locally heavy downpours will be the main concerns.

If you have outdoor plans late week or this weekend, keep an eye on the forecast for changing rain timing and possible ponding on roads.
