North Texas will have another warm and somewhat unsettled day across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with spotty showers and a few thunderstorms developing this afternoon. Not everyone gets rain, but a few neighborhoods could pick up a quick downpour. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s with light southeast winds.
Tonight is when rain chances ramp up in a big way. Scattered evening storms should become more widespread overnight, with periods of showers and thunderstorms likely across DFW. Lows will settle into the upper 60s. Some of the heavier rain could create ponding on roads by late tonight into the early Wednesday commute.
Tomorrow stays cooler and cloudier with off-and-on showers and a few thunderstorms, especially during the morning. Rain chances ease a bit later in the day, but a few lingering storms remain possible. Afternoon highs will be closer to 80 to the lower 80s.
If you have travel plans tonight or early Wednesday, allow extra time and watch for slick roads in heavier rain.
