A cool, damp evening is settling into the Dallas-Fort Worth area with a few leftover showers possible early tonight, but rain should become more spotty as the night goes on. Low clouds will hang around, and patchy fog may develop late, especially toward daybreak. Overnight lows will stay mild, mostly in the upper 50s.
Tomorrow starts gray with some morning fog and maybe an isolated shower, but the trend through the day is improving. Skies should gradually brighten during the afternoon, and temperatures will rebound nicely into the upper 70s across most of the Metroplex.
From there, the forecast turns much warmer. Expect low 80s Thursday, then upper 80s to near 90 by Friday and through the weekend. Most of that stretch looks dry, although there will be a few low-end storm chances returning late Friday night and again Saturday night into Sunday. Right now, widespread severe weather or heavy rain does not look like a major concern for DFW, but a few weekend downpours can’t be ruled out.
