Tonight’s DFW Forecast

Rain chances will increase across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex tonight as clouds thicken and scattered showers and a few thunderstorms become more numerous, especially late tonight into early Sunday. Overnight lows will stay mild, mostly in the mid to upper 60s.

Sunday looks unsettled with off-and-on showers and a few thunderstorms through much of the day. Not everyone will see steady rain the whole time, but several rounds are possible, and some pockets of heavier rain could slow travel at times. It will also be a little cooler, with highs mainly in the upper 70s, while south winds pick up through the afternoon.

Sunday night keeps a lingering chance for a few showers or storms before rain coverage eases. Monday brings a break for many of us with warmer temperatures returning to the low to mid 80s and only a small afternoon storm chance.

The pattern stays active again Tuesday and Wednesday with more scattered showers and thunderstorms, plus another cool-down into the upper 70s and lower 80s. Drier and warmer weather should return by Thursday and Friday.

Plan for wet roads at times late tonight and Sunday, with occasional heavier downpours possible.
