Today’s DFW Forecast

The Dallas-Fort Worth forecast stays fairly quiet today, with a mix of sun and clouds and warm afternoon temperatures in the lower 80s. Most of the Metroplex will stay dry, but a stray shower or thunderstorm could pop up later today, especially south and west of Dallas and Fort Worth.

Tonight looks mild and calm, with partly cloudy skies and lows settling into the low to mid 60s. Winds stay light out of the southeast, and most neighborhoods should remain dry.

Tomorrow brings a little more cloud cover and a slightly better chance for scattered afternoon thunderstorms, but it still won’t be an all-day rain event. Highs will again top out in the lower 80s, with a bit more breeze by afternoon.

The wetter pattern really starts to ramp up late Saturday night into Sunday, when showers and thunderstorms become more widespread across North Texas. Sunday looks cooler, cloudier, and much wetter, with periods of rain and some locally heavy downpours possible.

If you have weekend plans, Sunday is the day most likely to bring weather delays and soggy conditions.
