Today’s DFW Forecast

Clouds will gradually thicken across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex today, but it stays dry and fairly pleasant. Expect a mix of sun early, followed by a mostly cloudy afternoon with highs in the lower 70s and a light southeast breeze.

Tonight stays quiet with mostly cloudy skies early, then a few breaks developing overnight. Temperatures will fall into the mid 50s, so it will be cool but not chilly by North Texas standards.

Tomorrow looks even better, with sunshine returning area-wide and temperatures warming into the mid 70s by afternoon. Winds stay light out of the south, and the overall trend through midweek is a steady warm-up with highs near 80 by Thursday.

Rain chances remain very limited through Thursday for the Metroplex, but a few isolated showers or storms may begin to pop up Friday afternoon. Better odds for more widespread rain and thunderstorms arrive over the weekend, especially late Saturday night into Sunday.

No major impacts through tomorrow, but keep an eye on the weekend as rain and thunderstorm chances increase.
