North Texas gets a very pleasant start to the week today with plenty of sunshine across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Afternoon highs will top out in the lower 70s with a light easterly breeze, so it should be a comfortable day from start to finish.
Tonight stays quiet as well. Skies will be mostly clear early, then turn partly cloudy overnight. Temperatures will fall into the upper 40s, making for another cool and calm night.
Tomorrow, clouds begin to increase as moisture slowly returns from the south. Expect a partly sunny start, with skies becoming mostly cloudy later in the day. Even with the extra cloud cover, highs should still reach the lower 70s. No rain is expected through Tuesday, but the pattern does begin to shift toward a warmer and more unsettled setup later this week.
By mid to late week, temperatures will gradually climb into the upper 70s and low 80s, with the next meaningful chances for showers and thunderstorms arriving this weekend.
