Today’s DFW Forecast

A beautiful spring warm-up is underway across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex today. Expect plenty of sunshine from start to finish with afternoon highs climbing into the lower 80s. South winds will pick up a bit through the day, generally running around 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight stays quiet and milder than recent nights. Skies will remain mostly clear, and temperatures will only fall to around 60 to the lower 60s with a light south breeze continuing.

Tomorrow looks even warmer. We’ll keep a good deal of sunshine with highs reaching the mid 80s across DFW. South winds will be a little stronger by afternoon, adding to that warmer feel.

The overall pattern stays calm through Monday, but the next round of rain and thunderstorms begins to edge in by Tuesday night and continues in off-and-on fashion through Thursday. Right now, the better chance for more widespread rain and a few heavier downpours looks to arrive Wednesday into Wednesday night.

Midweek may bring periods of rain, a few thunderstorms, and some locally heavy rainfall, so keep an eye on later forecasts.
