A quiet and comfortable night is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Skies will turn partly cloudy overnight with light south winds, and temperatures will settle into the low to mid 50s by daybreak.
Sunday brings a big warm-up with plenty of sunshine and a much more spring-like feel. Afternoon highs will climb to around 80 to the lower 80s, with a steady south breeze picking up through the day. That warming trend continues into Monday and Tuesday, when highs reach the mid 80s to near 90 in some spots.
Our next better rain chance arrives Tuesday night and lingers off and on through Thursday. A few showers and thunderstorms look possible late Tuesday night, with scattered rain and storm chances continuing Wednesday and Thursday as cooler air moves in. For the Metroplex, this does not look like an all-day washout, but you’ll want to keep the umbrella handy midweek. Highs fall back into the 70s by Wednesday and Thursday before rebounding slightly Friday.
Midweek rain could briefly affect travel, especially Tuesday night through Thursday.
