Rain chances ramp up quickly tonight across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. A few spotty showers or storms are possible early this evening, but the more widespread rain arrives after midnight and continues into Saturday morning. Some storms may produce brief heavy downpours, especially north and east of Dallas-Fort Worth, though the overall severe weather threat looks limited. Overnight lows will fall into the mid to upper 50s.
Saturday will feel dramatically different. Expect a wet start with showers and a few thunderstorms through the morning, then gradually improving skies later in the day as rain becomes more scattered. Highs will struggle to reach the upper 60s, and it will feel much less humid as north winds take over.
The rest of the weekend looks quiet and cooler, with clearing Saturday night and a mostly sunny Sunday near 70. Early next week stays pleasant with mornings in the 40s and afternoons in the low to mid 70s, then temperatures warm back into the upper 70s by mid to late week.
Plan for a soggy commute late tonight and Saturday morning, with a few areas of heavy rain causing ponding on roads.
