After a stormy start this morning, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex should see improving conditions through the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms are likely early, but rain coverage will drop off later in the day with a return to some sunshine. It’ll stay warm and a little breezy, with highs reaching the low to mid 80s.
Tonight looks quieter. Skies turn partly cloudy this evening, then more clouds build back in overnight. Temperatures will stay mild, only falling into the upper 60s with a steady south wind.
Friday brings more clouds and another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially from midday into the afternoon. Not everyone will see rain, but the chance does begin to increase again as we head toward Friday night. Highs will stay in the lower 80s.
The more impactful stretch still appears to arrive Friday night into Saturday, when widespread thunderstorms and pockets of heavy rain become more likely across North Texas, followed by a noticeable cool-down this weekend.
