A very warm spring day is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Expect mostly sunny skies this afternoon with highs climbing into the mid to upper 80s, and a steady south wind picking up to around 15 to 20 mph. It’ll feel a little breezy, but overall today stays quiet and dry.
Tonight remains mild with a partly cloudy sky developing late. Temperatures will only fall into the mid 60s, so it will stay noticeably warm for late March.
Tomorrow looks similar for much of the day with morning clouds giving way to at least some afternoon sunshine. Highs will again reach the mid to upper 80s, and south winds will become gusty by afternoon with gusts close to 30 mph at times. Most of the day stays dry, but rain chances begin to increase tomorrow evening and especially tomorrow night as showers and thunderstorms move in from the west. That wet pattern continues into Thursday, with the best chance for widespread rain and storms during the morning.
A few storms could bring heavy downpours late tomorrow night into Thursday morning.
